Lot 1262

1805. Overton-111, Rarity 3. NGC graded AU-58. CAC Approved. Lovely golden toning. A condition rarity at this lofty grade and tied with two others as the second finest seen of this die variety. The strike is sharp throughout and the surfaces are a delight to study. Multiple clash marks are noted in the field before Liberty's neck, from the reverse die striking into the obverse die without a planchet, as commonly seen on this die pairing. A rare and desirable coin that will certainly please the type or variety collector equally for its high quality. Pop 4; 10 finer, 2 in 61, 5 in 62, 2 in 63, 1 in 63+.
Estimated Value $6,500 - 7,000.

Realized $11,456
