Lot 1201

1867. PCGS graded MS-64. Housed in an Old Green Holder. Nice golden toning that deepens to russet around the obverse rim, a bit lighter and more even on the reverse. The strike is bold throughout, and this example is tied for the finest certified by PCGS. The mintage was only 20,000 pieces, and collectors have a real challenge to find this date in any mint state grade, and high grade circulated examples are also difficult to secure. An important offering for the Liberty Seated quarter collctor. Pop 3; none finer at PCGS (PCGS # 5470) .
Estimated Value $10,000-UP.
