1878. PCGS graded Proof 65. Lovely deep sunset toning that spans both sides of this handsome gem. The surfaces are outstanding as well, and appear free of contact when closely examined. This is a proof only issue and the final year this curious denomination was coined. Needless to say these are quite popular with today's collector and demand for gems continues to increase. Only 600 struck. Pop 27; 12 finer, 11 in 66, 1 in 67. (PCGS # 5306) .
Estimated Value $7,000 - 7,500.

Realized $8,225
