Lot 1175

1875-S. NGC graded MS-66. A fully white gem. The strike is outstanding too for this short-lived type coin, with Liberty displaying full hair definition and the eagle also crisply struck. Although this issue is the most plentiful date of the series, the mintage of 1,155,000 pieces is truly not that large by comparison to other denominations. Gems are scarce, and at this lofty grade level, the population numbers dwindle down quickly. Hence this sparkling white jewel will make a glorious addition to any advanced collection. Pop 54; 8 finer, 7 in 67, 1 in 68.
Estimated Value $8,000 - 9,000.

Realized $8,519
