Lot 1168

1942-D, 2 over 1. PCGS graded MS-65 Full Bands PQ. CAC Approved. A nice white gem. This overdate blunder was caused by the mint when a die was being made and placed on two different hubs. One hub was dated 1941, the other 1942, hence the overdate is bold. There is also a Philadelphia overdate of this year, but the Denver issue seems tougher to obtain nice. This is one that any collector will always cherish for its satin white luster and attractive surfaces. Housed in an Old Green Holder. Pop 16; 16 finer, 12 in 66, 4 in 66+. (PCGS # 5041) .
Estimated Value $19,000 - 20,000.

Realized $30,550
