Skythia, Geto-Dacians. Koson. Gold Stater (8.4 g), Mid 1st century BC. KOΣΩN in exergue, Roman consul advancing left, accompanied by two lictors; in left field, monogram. Reverse: Eagle with wings displayed standing left on scepter, holding wreath in talon. Iliescu 1; RPC 1701. The finest piece we have handled from this group. Superb Mint State.
