Lot 2031

1887-S. PCGS graded MS-64. The MS-64 level of preservation is uncommonly high for a survivor of this 817,000-piece S-mint mintage as most survivors remain in MS-63 and lower grades, most likely no higher than MS-62. This lot offers original antique-gold overtones with subtle green-gold color at the peripheries on each side. Fully struck throughout with just a few tiny marks on the reverse, all typical of the Choice assigned grade. A rare opportunity for collectors. Pop 5; none finer at PCGS (PCGS # 8711) .
Estimated Value $4,000 - 4,400.
