1881-CC. PCGS graded AU-53. The attractive orange-gold surfaces exhibit traces of mint bloom in the protected areas. Deeper orange color is seen at the centers of each side, particularly the reverse. This nicely struck eagle is evenly circulated and lightly abraded, as is typical of CC coins of this era. From a modest mintage of 24,015 pieces, most of which circulated for some length of time in the Western United States. A pleasing, original appearing specimen Housed in an Old Green Holder. Pop 19; 84 finer (PCGS # 8692) .
