1924-D. PCGS graded MS-64 Red. The smooth, slightly frosted surfaces exhibit a pronounced golden-red color which presents as even on each side. Very little muting of color is seen, and there are no marks or spots worthy of mention, and the surfaces are remarkably free of imperfections. An exceptionally attractive near-Gem example of this difficult date. Pop 89; 41 finer, 39 in 65, 1 in 65+, 1 in 66 (PCGS # 2554) .
