[Washington, George and Martha Washington] Chromolithograph Portraits. A pair of oval portraits published by E.C. Middleton after paintings by Gilbert Stuart. Middleton's finely-rendered portrait of George Washington became an early icon in the world of chromolithography. Both measure 16" x 13" and are framed to an overall size of 22" x 19". "Entered according to Act of Congress, in the year 1864, by E.C. Middleton, In the Clerk's Office of the District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, Cincinnati." Both fine.
