1973-74 Skylab Mission Control - Console Back-lit Displays (DDD's). These 3 overlays are back-lit displays used on the Flight Dynamics Officer's console. The lights monitored key events on-board the spacecraft and monitored computer processing activity by the Mission Operations Computer (MOC) for other events or possible contingencies. They represent variable event overlays or in the vernacular of Flight Controllers "Digital Display Drivers" (DDD's). These particular DDD's were utilized on the Flight Dynamics Officer's Console in the Mission Control Center during latter Apollo missions. They were utilized to support trajectory operations for all phases of flight: Prelaunch/ Ascent phase; Orbital operations phase; and Deorbit/ Entry phase. On the Flight Dynamics Officer's Console they served as a Heads-Up Display feature with color coded lighting for significant telemetered vehicle events impacting the trajectory plus health and status of ground trajectory processors supporting number crunching in MOC. Specific reference is made to CSM = Command Service Module, SKYBET = Skylab Best Estimate of Trajectory, TWRJETT = Tower Jettison, etc. Additional notes and a NASA memo (copy) included. These are the only Apollo Era DDD's we have ever seen offered.
Estimated Value $250 - 350.
