Ancient Babylonian Double-Edge Bronze Sword, circa 700-600 B.C. The double-edge blade with incised vertical lines terminates with a mid-rib grip and domed rib. Well known during the Biblical period of Judean history, Alexander the Great certainly would have recognized this sword in the hands of his Persian adversaries during the battles against King Darius. Intact and free from repairs. Fine green and brown patina. Length: 25".
