Bremer, Ernst. Spinning at Home. Late 19th-early 20th century oil on canvas, signed at lower right. 20 x 24". A young woman sits at her spinning wheel as her young daughter plays with a piece of yarn which has been pounced upon by what looks suspiciously like a rat. Bremer was influenced by early 19th century Flemish art and portrays Dutch village people in their everyday life.
