1817 N-6 R1. PCGS graded MS-64+ Brown. CAC Approved. Choice lustrous steel brown and chocolate with underlying faded mint red showing through in the fields and protected areas on the obverse while the reverse retains a third of the original mint color. This cent offers outstanding eye appeal and is very close to gem status. The only marks are some microscopic ticks on the obverse and a couple tiny spots of darker toning near the dentils over star 5. E-MDS. The dentils are complete around both sides and fine die flowlines are starting to form off the dentil tips. Graded MS65 by Del Bland. Our grade is MS64+, close to MS65. The attribution and Ralls provenance are shown on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 4 finer, 3 in 65, 1 in 65+. (PCGS # 36565) .
