Lot 304

1833 C-1 R1 NGC graded UNC Details, Environmental Damage. Lustrous mint red fading to steel brown with 40% of the red remaining on the obverse and 15% on the reverse. Unfortunately both sides are covered with tiny specks of dark toning, especially the reverse. There is enough mint color showing on the obverse to overcome the tiny specks on that side, but the specks dominate the reverse leaving poor eye appeal. No marks or other defects. Nicely struck MDS, Manley state 2.0, with the usual die clashmarks on both sides. Our grade is MS60. The attribution is shown on the NGC label.
Estimated Value $250-UP.

Realized $423
