1843. PCGS graded MS-62. CAC Approved. Well struck and frosty. Lightly toned. With more than 611,000 pieces struck, the 1843 is one of the more plentiful of the early No Motto Half Eagles and in Mint State displays all of the charm and resolute detail found on a Coronet piece from this decade. There are a few light surface abrasions in the field before Liberty, as usual for the issue, plus a small scuff below the eagle. Choice detail and luster throughout.Pop 6; 9 finer, 6 in 63, 3 in 64 (PCGS # 8213) .
