McKinley, William (1843-1901) 25th President of the United States (1893-1901). Autograph letter signed as Governor of Ohio, one page, 5½ x 9 in., on stationery of The Windsor Hotel, New York, Nov. 30, 1894. To Henry C. Bowen (1813-1896), an influencial businessman and founder of the weekly newspaper, The New York Independent, regretting that previous engagements will keep him from dining with Mr. Bowen during his visit to New York. Very good; light soiling and letter is inlaid. McKinley's signature is large and bold. Estimated Value $400 - 600
