Vintage gelatin silver print made on a Sierra Club outing in 1929 that trekked from Huntington Lake up the San Joaquin River along the John Muir Trail ending at Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite National Park. Sally Keyes Lake is on a tributary to the San Joaquin River southwest of Humphey Basin. The inclusion of bathers in the image is generally unusual for Adams, but here contribute to the sense of an idyllic mountain experience. Matted to 14" x 11". With COA from The Ansel Adams Gallery.
