Booth, Edwin (1833-1893) Celebrated Shakespearean actor; son of Julius Brutus Booth and brother of Lincoln assasin, John Wilkes Booth. Autograph letter signed, one page, 5¼ x 8½ in., Boston, Jan. 27 [no year]. To O.R. Chase informing him that Miss Sallie Booth is no relation of his family but was a renowned actress in her day, and declining the offer of an engraving: "…as I already have several engravings of her I will not deprive you of your copy."
