Baer, Max. Black and white, 8 x 10 in. photo of Baer in a tuxedo inscribed and signed as World Heavyweight Champion to President Rodriguez of Mexico: "To President Rodriguez--a grand and great man - I enjoyed my stay very much / I hope I come to Mexico again soon. Sincerely Max Baer 11/20/34." Baer's blue ink ran out and he signed part of his last name and the date in black ink. Fine. Also included are two candid 7 x 5 in. photos taken during Baer's visit. After defeating Primo Carnera on June 14, 1934, Baer would hold the title for 364 days, losing to James Braddock in the Cinderella Man bout. Estimated Value $300 - 400
