Autograph Letter Signed ("Victoria"), 3 black-bordered pages, 7 x 4¼", Ingestre House, Dec. 22, 1840. To M.S. Moore, regarding a child "from a very large and deserving family" she hoped would be eligible for his "next presentation to Christ Church Hospital." Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Strathearn (1850-1942). Seventh child and third son of Queen Victoria; he served as the Governor General of Canada (1911-16). Autograph Letter Signed ("Arthur"), 4pp, 7¼ x 4½", n.p., Jan. 9, 1871. To Shirley, who was "in waiting at the castle" in Ireland.
