George, Duke of Kent, and His Mother, Mary of Teck. Autograph letter signed ("George"), 2pp (2nd page was trimmed for framing), 8¾ x 4¼ in., on stationery headed "H.M.S. Mackay", Invergordon (Scotland), Sept. 30, 1922. To Mrs. Egan, promising to put in a word for her and her husband, adding " I have been in this ship six weeks & have just come back from a Baltic Cruise which has been great fun…." Matted with a postcard photo signed ("George") and framed to an overall size of 19¼ x 8½". George (1902-1942) was the younger brother of Edward VIII and George VI and a very interesting character. With a photo of Mary of Tieck (1867-1953), queen consort of George V, signed "Mary R 1912", 5¼ x 3½". A chest-up portrait as Queen. Matted and framed to an overall size of 8½ x 6½". Estimated Value $250 - 300
