[Saddam Hussein] Maroon Paratrooper's Beret From the Presidential Palace in Tikrit. Maroon beret has a metal parachute emblem with wings on each side affixed to the front; tips of wings are missing. The Ba'athist Iraqi Republican Guard wore maroon berets; they were the elite troops of the Iraqi army and reported directly to Saddam Hussein. The beret was "emancipated" from Saddam Hussein's palace in Tikrit by a member of the 1st Marines during the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

The sales commission received from this item will be donated to K9s For Warriors, a non-profit group that provides and trains service dogs for American warriors with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury; 95% of the dogs come from rescue shelters. Estimated Value $250 - 300
