1859. PCGS graded AU-58. One-year Type. Like the Flying Eagle Cents, James B. Longacre designed the Indian Cents. This period saw a transition in One Cent pieces from the old heavy large cents (last minted in 1857) through still thick but lighter (72-grain) copper-nickel cents of 1856-64, and finally ending with in French bronze pieces made of 95% copper from 1864 to 1982 (PCGS # 2052) Estimated Value $150 - 175
