Lot 2169

1901-S. PCGS graded MS-65. A gorgeous sainy mint gem displaying full mint bloom colors. A problem-free coin with luster racing over the surface, what’s not to like! Plus vivid and gold in appearance. Moving in for closer inspection, the fields acquit themselves nicely in terms of the fewness of marks. A blunt impression is never left by the recoil of the dies that struck this year's coinage, we should point out, 1901-S is noteworthy for its fantastic strikes and eye-appealing luster; just the same, we can report that this specimen, unlike the others struck in prior years, is outstanding in its detail and sharpness. A beauty! (PCGS # 8749) Estimated Value $2,400 - 2,500

Realized $2,990
