Lot 1547

1951-S. PCGS graded MS-67 Full Bell Lines. Magnificent multi-color rainbow toning on both sides. Probably the "Finest Known" business strike example. We shall always remember the morning this piece arrived at our offices. It so happened that the day before we had been present at a rather cheery little Morgan Dollar consignment which the staff was unpacking, and we were feeling pretty elated. When in walked this fantastic Finest Known from the #1 ranked Napier Set. Words could be extended three ways from Sunday describing the coin to you, but enjoy the photographs, square your shoulders before bidding, and prepare for some anticipated action. Only 30,000 struck. Pop 2; None finer at PCGS. (PCGS # 86660) Estimated Value $12,500-UP

Ex #1 Ranked PCGS Registry Napier Set.

Realized $20,700
