Lot 139

1794 S-35 R5 AG3. Glossy medium steel brown blending to chocolate in protected areas around the devices. The surfaces are not perfectly smooth, especially in protected areas on the reverse, but they are quite decent for the grade. The only notable mark is a subtle dent just right of the F in OF, and this caused a minor bend in the planchet. The date is weak but complete and easily readable and half the legends remain visible as well. MDS, Breen state IV. The vertical crack that bisects the obverse is present but the one through the cap has not formed. Estimated Value $400-UP

Ex Doug Bird 4/4/2003-Terry Denman.
