Lot 138

1794 S-35 R5 NGC graded VG Details, Corroded. Sharpness VG7 with areas of very shallow porosity on both sides, mostly in the field before the neck. No contact marks or notable signs of verdigris. Rather glossy chocolate brown and steel. The date is weak but easily readable. The legends are readable as well, although the rim is starting to wear into the legend outside the wreath. M-LDS, Breen state VI, with a radial die crack from the rim through the cap plus a stronger one down through the E in LIBERTY into the portrait. Not perfect but still an acceptable example of this rare die variety. Our grade is net G5. The attribution is noted on the NGC/NCS label. Estimated Value $400-UP

Realized $776
