1794 S-21 R3 NGC graded VF Details, Improperly Cleaned. Sharpness VF25 or better but cleaned with a mild abrasive that left microscopic hairlines covering both sides. The cleaning lightened the toning to a light brown, but it is far from "coppery" and the protected areas remain chocolate brown. The only mark of any significance is a thin crease in the planchet in the dentils over S-OF, as struck. MDS, Breen state III, with a die crack from the B to the cap. The date and legends are complete and clear. Our grade is net F12. The attribution is noted on the NGC/NCS label. Estimated Value $500-UP
