Lot 243

1795 S-76b R1 Plain Edge PCGS graded VF30. Glossy medium steel brown with a couple splashes of reddish brown toning on both sides, the largest of these at the bottom of the reverse. No corrosion and the planchet is decent, but there are several light rim bruises on both sides and a diagonal nick on the neck under the ear. EDS, Breen state III, before any swelling in the obverse fields. The planchet appears to be relatively thick in the slab, but there is no edge lettering and the weight is unknown (a few are known struck on thick planchets with unlettered edges). Our grade is net VF20.
Estimated Value $1,000-UP.

Realized $1,955
