Lot 237

1794 S-68 R5 G4. Slightly glossy reddish brown and light chocolate. There is some minor roughness, especially on the reverse, but no verdigris. A few rim bumps, the strongest one at ME in AMERICA. The obverse is slightly better, the reverse weaker, no better than AG3. The date and LIBERTY are clear but only half the legends on the reverse are readable. The bisecting die crack on the obverse is visible in spite of the relatively low grade.
Estimated Value $300-UP.
Ex Carvin Goodridge collection.

Realized $426
