Lot 1728

1932 $10 Indian. PCGS graded MS-64. Nice and frosty with delicate toning, a choice representative of the second-to-last issue of this denomination. Whereas the $20 gold pieces of 1932 were extensively melted, the $10 denomination, though officially released into circulation, was mostly stored in bank vaults. Undoubtedly many were melted in 1933-37 pursuant to policies of the President of the United States, rubber-stamped by Congress. Still there were thousands of beautiful Mint State 1932 tens retained and available to eager 21st century collectors! (PCGS # 8884) .
Estimated Value $1,400 - 1,450.

Realized $1,495
