Lot 1491

1800 PCGS graded Genuine AU Details. Well struck. The cleaning designation appears too critical. Lightly toned with smooth surfaces and details aplenty from an affirmative strike by the dies. This design appeared in 1798 when the mint switched to a new reverse featuring a large or Heraldic eagle patterned on the Great Seal of the United States. Issues were struck from that year through 1807, with the 1800 being medium scarce but by no means unaffordable. Classic styling for the period. Well preserved by its former owners. And bearing a load of history within its small golden format (PCGS # 8082) .
Estimated Value $5,000 - 5,500.

Realized $7,763
