Deke Slayton’s "Silver Eagle Racing Team" Articles of Incorporation – (includes 3 full Slayton signatures), Deke was an avid racing plane pilot and on April 8, 1986 incorporated "Silver Eagle". The company records are contained in a 3 ring binder with tabs for articles of incorporation, minuets, by-laws, certificates and a transfer ledger. The Texas Secretary of State signed the articles forming the corporation. The minuets of the first meeting on May 28, 1986 indicate that both Deke and Bobbie Slayton will each purchase 10,000 shares (for $1.00). It doesn’t look like the sale was ever executed because the last section of the binder includes all 20 stock certificates. Also includes a hand press for embossing the certificates.
