1795 S-76b R1 Plain Edge with ONE CENT High. PCGS graded AU-58. CAC Approved Plus. Glossy steel and frosty lighter chocolate brown. Just a few tiny contact marks, none notable. A small spot of darker toning under the ES in STATES can help identify this cent. MDS showing fine die flowlines on both sides and a hint of swelling in the obverse fields. Called AU55 Average Plus and tied for CC#15 in the Noyes census, photo #39229. Our grade is AU50. The attribution and Paul Gerrie provenance are shown on the PCGS label. Pop 1; 2 finer, 1 in 62, 1 in 63.
