Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III, the Great, 336-323 BC. Silver Tetradrachm (17.2.g). Minted at Astibo or Damastion under Audoleon, ca. 315-286 BC. In the name of Alexander III, the Great. Herakles head right clad in lion's skin. Reverse: Zeus enthroned left holding eagle and scepter, his one foot back behind front leg of throne; Λ over torch in left field. Price 643; Waggoner Reflections, Issue I, dies 9/b. Very sharp example and delicately toned. Extremely Fine.
