Sicily, Kamarina. Silver Tetradrachm (17.18g) struck ca. 425-405 BC. Athena driving a galloping quadriga left; the quadriga with a broad, S-curved antyx (rim); Nike (Victory) flying right above to crown her; swan flying left in exergue. Reverse: Head of a bearded Herakles left wearing lion's skin. Westermark-Jenkins 142; SNG-ANS 1203; SNG-Cop 162; BMC 10; Rizzo pl. V, 9; Pozzi 398; Gulbenkian 174. Delicately toned and well struck on excellent metal. Very rare and highly desirable. Choice Very Fine.
