1794 S-63 R3- "Fallen 4" Variety. PCGS graded AU-53. CAC Approved. Glossy steel brown and chocolate with lighter steel brown toning in protected areas. No corrosion or verdigris and only minor marks. These include a tiny pinprick near the forehead under the T in LIBERTY and a collection of microscopic planchet flakes at S-OF, as struck. EDS, Breen state I, before the dies clashed. A very attractive example of the "Fallen 4" variety (actually the 4 is properly placed but the 9 is high). Called EF40 Average Plus and tied for CC#7 in the Noyes census, photo #36872. Our grade is EF40. The attribution and Paul Gerrie provenance are shown on the PCGS label. Pop 1; 2 finer, 1 in 58, 1 in 62.
