Lot 202

1794 S-19b R4 Head of 1793 VG7. Sharpness VF20, perhaps even better on the reverse, but the obverse is covered with fine porosity mixed with a few small pits while the reverse is covered with microscopic granularity. No notable signs of verdigris or contact marks. Slightly glossy olive brown and chocolate. The date is complete and easily readable but not strong, and the legends are clear except for strike weakness on the fraction. The edge lettering and upturned leaf following DOLLAR are strong. MDS with minor swelling at the bottom of the cap.
Estimated Value $1,500-UP.

Realized $2,070
