1793 S-6 R3 Wreath Cent VG10. Vine & Bars Edge. Sharpness F15 but there is a planchet delamination obliterating TY in LIBERTY. Otherwise the planchet is smooth and attractive with only a few contact marks. These include a tiny rim bruise just left of the date and a slightly larger one at UN in UNITED, and a collection of thin nicks or fine scratches that skip across the highpoints from ST in STATES to ME in AMERICA. Glossy chocolate brown with a swipe of reddish toning inside the wreath. The date and legends are complete and clear. MDS, Breen state III, with a dull but obvious wave in the field behind the portrait (Crosby's "Sprung Die" variety).
Estimated Value $1,500-UP.

Realized $2,070
