Lot 189

1793 S-1 R4 Chain AMERI VG10. Slightly sharper but lightly cleaned and retoned glossy chocolate brown and light olive mixed with some golden tan. The planchet is mostly smooth but there is a small patch of very fine granularity near the rim left of the lower curls and there are two horizontal planchet voids at the bottom of the reverse (as struck). The date is easily readable and the legends are strong. E-MDS, Breen state II, with an arc of swelling on the lower half of the 1 in the date but no visible clashmarks or die cracks. Not perfect but not at all bad for a Chain AMERI.
Estimated Value $10,000-UP.

Realized $10,063
