Montez, Lola (1821-1861) Stage name of Irish dancer and actress Eliza Rosanna Gilbert, who was made Countess of Landsfeld by King Ludwig I of Bavaria, one of her lovers (Franz Liszt was another). From 1851 the "Spanish dancer" lived most of the rest of her life in the United States. Autograph Letter Signed, 3 x 7", n.p., n.d.
