1798 S-166 R1 Large 8, Style II Hair. PCGS graded AU-58, CAC Approved. Choice glossy light to medium chocolate brown. Smooth and very attractive. The only marks are a tiny speck of darker olive brown toning in the field close above the hair ribbon, a couple very faint hairline scratches from the cheek to the neck, and another from the tip of the nose to just off the bust tip. LDS, Breen state VI. The die crack through E in STATES is broad and a rim cud shows above ST in STATES. The reverse is rotated 25 degrees CCW from a normal head-to-foot die orientation. Noyes photo #28958. Our grade is EF40.
