Lot 495

1793 S-10 R4 Wreath Cent. PCGS graded EF-45. Vine & Bars Edge. Choice glossy chocolate brown mixed with slightly lighter chocolate brown toning on the obverse. Sharply struck and very attractive. No corrosion, verdigris, or planchet flaws. Just a few trivial contact marks including a very light nick in the field behind the head, a tick near the dentils right of the date, and a light diagonal nick right of the E in ONE. EDS, Breen state I. The obverse border beads are complete and strong, including all the beads before the face. A narrow but clearly defined rim cud break shows outside the border beads at UNITE. An outstanding example of this tough variety. Our grade is VF35+ choice, close to EF40.
Estimated Value $10,000-UP.

Realized $29,900
