1793/2 Washington Ship Halfpenny with Lettered Edge Breen-1225. PCGS graded AU-58. Glossy steel brown and chocolate with a couple puffs of reddish chocolate toning on both sides, clearest on the shoulder. The only marks are a collection of tiny planchet flakes in the field off the chin (as struck). MDS with swelling on the reverse. The 3 over 2 overdate feature remains visible. Listed on page 79 in the "Redbook."
