1786 New Jersey Maris 17-k Rarity-4 F15. Glossy medium brown and light chocolate with a trio of small spots of darker olive brown toning on the upper part of the reverse. The surfaces are smooth and the eye appeal is excellent. The only marks are a dull scrape on the right top of the V in NOVA and another dull nick at the left top of the shield. This piece was struck over another coin, but the undertype has not been identified with any certainty. Weight 132.3 grains.
