1787 Connecticut Draped Bust Left Miller 37.4-k.1 Rarity-3 VF20. Ten points sharper but there is very fine roughness mixed with traces of shallow verdigris on the upper third of the obverse, and myriad microscopic hairline scratches cover much of the portrait. The remainder of the planchet is smooth and attractive. The only other marks are a pair of small planchet chips or flakes at the rim above the T in AUCTORI. Mostly glossy steel brown with reddish chocolate brown toning in protected areas. The date and legends are strong. LDS with strong die clashmarks from the 87 of the date showing above the head. Weight 166.2 grains.
