Lot 412

1786 Connecticut Mailed Bust Left Miller 4.1-G Rarity-3+ F15. Glossy dark olive and steel with lighter chocolate brown toning on the highpoints. The surfaces appear smooth to the unaided eye but a glass reveals traces of underlying extremely fine roughness in protected areas. No verdigris but there are traces of glue on the lower part of the bust. A small nick on the back of the head is the only notable mark. The Miller attribution is neatly inked into the field before the chin. The date is complete although the 6 is a bit weak and the legends are clear. Weight 134.1 grains.
Estimated Value $75-UP.

Realized $242
