1767-A French Colonial Copper Sou with RF Counterstamp Breen-701. PCGS graded EF-45. Double Struck Reverse. Slightly glossy reddish chocolate brown with lighter brown toning on the highpoints. Traces of very shallow verdigris and crud can be found in some of the protected areas on both sides. No marks or other defects. Sharp doubling shows on the entire obverse (the side with the RF counterstamp), but the reverse displays no trace of doubling. The PCGS label mentions the mint error status and "Dbl Struck Rev" feature. Listed on page 51 in the "Redbook."
