(1672-1694) London Elephant Halfpenny Breen-186 NGC graded VG details, planchet flaw. Dark olive and steel with a layer of powdery greenish oxidation that dulls the surfaces. Otherwise the only defects are a two thin, shallow planchet fissures slanting across the obverse (the elephant side). No notable marks or other defects. This one needs a bit of TLC to bring life back to the surfaces and bring out the details. The elephant and most of the legend is readable. Listed on page 44 of the "Redbook."
